About

This is an online Bible study Blog. If you’re not in the habit of regular Bible reading, give it a try and join us here at A Fresh look. The purpose of this blog is to encourage you to read the Bible by creating discussion and reflection on passages and books of the Bible. Each week we will study a passage of Scripture, ask some questions and look for comments. We hope you will join us.

It is always a good idea to start your study by asking God to open your mind and heart to the truths you’ll be reading from His word. There are many things God wants say to you through His word. Here are a few simple steps you might like to follow as you begin.

  • What portion stands out to you? Why? (Don’t just focus on what you don’t understand, think about the things you do understand.)
  • Is there an example for me to follow or a duty to perform?
  • Is there an error for me to avoid?
  • Is there a promise for me to claim?
  • Is there a sin for me to confess?
  • Plan it – make a plan for how you will use it
  • Pray it – pray scripture back to God
  • Share it – it will help others and help you to remember it
